What a beautiful setting and home. The Riverstone House was the perfect getaway for my family, including my Golden Retriever. The house was clean, extremely spacious, and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend if you need a timeout from work life and would like to take your whole family, and pets with. The plunge pool just made our holiday :
Absolutely amazing find. We booked all three accommodation venues Riverstone House, FamTin and Couples Pod. Beautifully designed and positioned for views. The decor is stunning and all places are well equipped for self catering. Walking distance from each other but each place is very private. The photos don't do it justice and the owners/ managers are so thoughtful. Mountain biked, hiked in Bainskloof, wine tasted in Tulbagh and ate at Bosjes Kombuis. So much to do and see! We will be back!!
Absolutely amazing place. The attention to detail and what one could need is 5/5. Equipment is of quality and just everything is well thought out and practical as well as beautiful. Kitchen was equipped with sugar, tea, coffee, milk, rusks and to our surprise there was even a dishwasher! Everything was just amazing.
Had a lovely stay. The dogs enjoyed themselves so much. This is definitely the ultimate dog holiday. The accommodation was clean with small details like emergency kits for dogs as well as humans and emergency toothpaste was very impressive. Would definitely come back, highly recommended and one of the best we've been to.
We stayed at the Riverstone main house with family. This is a stunning house and location. We stayed here over the long weekend in June 2022, and it was really lovely. The house is big. The kitchen is kitted out and central, so one can cook and kuier. The lounge has an amazing fireplace for cozy winters. The rooms are lovely and so are the bathrooms. Outside is spacious, and stone throw from the river. Nice scenic walks. Fairly easy to access, a gravel road but well maintained. Free good wifi. Only areas of improvement from my perspective: 1. Add a TV for those big rugby games please 2. Consider closing off the area around the braai outside so that one can braai even when it rains. It was a bit wet and !
Firstly: It was the most relaxing accommodation I have ever visited. Secondly: This was such a romantic spot that I can definitely recommend it to any other couples or close friends. Thirdly: There is a piece of heaven to be discovered when you walk towards the mountain amongst the orchards and vineyards. And lastly - Extremely comfortable sleeping arrangements - the property has absolutely everything you can think of. Our favorite spot was outside by the fireplace looking out onto the mountains' reflection on the water...breath-taking and so beautiful.
This place is really a good place to go on a vacation. I would recommend for to all. One thing tho if you could put better sign and direction to the house, it will help greatly from a clients point of you. Beside that a very good place to go.
What a beautiful spot, set on the edge of the dam with lots of little nooks to settle in and have your morning coffee. A very well designed, decorated and equipped unit it had everything we needed and more even a NutriBullet. I wish we had more time there and would love to go back and enjoy the dam with some better weather! It was amazing to be able to take our fur baby with, just note that it is not fenced in so they can wonder off if they are the adventurous type. Candice was super helpful and available via WhatsApp the whole time we were there.
We stayed at the riverstone house and it was absolutely incredible. Beautiful view from the patio where the mountains light up at sunrise and you can watch the sunset! Incredibly peaceful, a little slice of heaven... Plenty of birds to listen to. The house was clean and very spacious! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone, families as well as couples
Wow! How amazing! These guys are serious about attention to detail: and it was impeccable. We arrived to a squeaky clean couples pod with Relax Saxs thrown on the lawn for us, a handwritten letter and a bottle of wine and chocolates. Not only do they provide a pet kit, but also a fully kitted “guest emergency jar”. So cute. Definitely a must! We felt right at home from the very start when inquiring Candice, we see you. This spot is a must-see. Beautifully serene! So relaxing to overlook the Cederberg mountain range over the still water. And the house is fully kitted with everything and more you might need. I mean, there’s a Nespresso machine, electric kettle, stove top kettle and plunger to choose how you like your cup of Joe. And the decor is pristine. I felt like I was on holiday from the moment we stepped in. Even though you’re on someone’s farm, you have the pod exclusively to yourself. Very private. I cannot say enough about this spot. I mean, did I mention the outdoor bathtub?
