Roodepoort Magistrates Court

The ladies at the maintenance court are rude and unhelpful. its been since December going back and fourth with no resolution the dead beat father has gotten off scott free for over a year with no assistance from them

I had an enquiry, as my Father passed away. I was directed to Room 60. From entering point every one I have asked for directions were very friendly with myself and my Daughter. We got to Room 60, as we were waiting for the Lady to finish helping a client, we were not even 5min waiting for her. We greeted her, and I asked her if my Daughter could join. Agreed this Lady was so friendly and compassionate with my story. She guided me with unsure questions giving me all the correct information moving forward. Thank you Honorable, much respect. If only everyone could be like her, the world will be a better place.

I call the courts Manager and she tells me to send an email then turns around and tells me they magistrate does not entertain emails. Hello number one where does the leave come from to be running back and forth to court? i must stay out unpaid cause your phone lines is never working! three Roodepoort MC is the worse this is why i personally took my maintenance matter to Johannesburg and won. They dragged my cases on for months. This system really fails us terribly

There are many potholes in the area, especially in the parking bay accross from the court. Way too many people hanging around which makes vehicles an easy target for break-ins. Have been coming back to this court for almost a year. Every time they would postpone the case which results in a hell of a lot of legal fees, especially if you are here for maintenance trying to get money in order to support child... They do not consider your financial position here. Have to wait outside court until 9 although they request of you to be here at 7. There is absolutely no social distancing enforced by officials outside of court.

Disgusting minus 5 stars. There are no words to express the absolutely degrading and humiliating treatment a person gets there ...

I won't go to Roodepoort court ever again. The Lady at room 60 is very rude. I had to wait 15minutes outside her door before she assisted me because she and her friend was gossiping and talking about holidays, this was just after 8am. When I ask her for assiatace she told me to sit outside until she and her friend are done with their little break time. Then she told me she can't assist me, she said to me I have to go to kagiso court to get a letter of authority. The way she said it was very unprofessional. I went to Krugersdorp court and the people that helped me there was professional and very kind. They know how to treat people good and they know how to do their job in a professional manner.

Sadly it seems the registrar/employee,Joseph Matlala, does not know how to respond to e-mail or is aware of the court rules of providing 10 days notice period for service. A great example on 23 November 2020 we get notification the matter is set down for 02 December 2020. We then get no responses to our e-mails when attempting to have him correct his error. Sadly, there will be no repercussions for him because he probably obtained the job through a friend...

Pathetic. Don't brother calling. No one mans the phones. Get there SUPER early as lines are long on the street from 7:30. You will get served around 9am - 10am. You may not eat anything inside. People who work there CLEARLY hate their jobs!!!
