Advance Auto Parts

There are many better choices than Advance Auto at 4851 Nolensville Rd. In fact, ANY Nashville auto parts store is better, including all the other Advance stores. This must be the place that Advance sends its worst-performing, surliest employees as a last stop, because I've rarely encountered a friendly or accommodating employee there over the last 10 years, and those seem to rotate in and out quickly. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment because last week I tried to return a tube bender I bought at another Advance store with sales receipt. “Chuck” told me that because the package had been opened he wouldn't accept it back. I explained to “Chuck” that a salesman at the other store told me it would work with brass tubing but that the bender tore the tubing up. He rudely snapped that he still wouldn't take it back and informed me that those tube benders are intended only for 1/8” and 3/16” copper. I showed him the tool itself and that it has slots for bending tube up to 1/4”. He became more agitated and more adamant, so I showed him the back of the package which clearly states that it's “good for aluminum, brass, and copper” and I added the word a..hole at the end of my sentence. He started shouting for me to get out of the store. I told him I was going to review the store online and he said to make sure and add the part about my calling him an a..hole, so here it is. I hardly ever call someone that, but when I do it's because they epitomize what an a..hole is. My advice is to stay away from this store. There are 4 other auto parts stores within a stone's throw.

I did not get the service I needed today. I went for another visit to another store and my needs were met to get my car serviced. I got a free item for making the purchase and my vehicle runs a whole lot better. Sometimes one may not get good service the first time, just try again. It works!!!
