Andrade Shoe Repair

I have been going to this shoe repair place for what seems like about 20 years now and they have always done a good job, a very good job. Usually a great job -- depending on how excited one gets about shoe repair. I don't know what other people are talking about. And Fernando who owns the shop is always kind and courteous and most helpful. I have even met some of his family and they are all lovely lovely people. I hope he stays in my neighborhood for the next 20 years!

I should have looked up the reviews before going, but nope, I learned the hard way -- I dropped my shoes off with a polite woman (who is apparently the owner). When I went to pick them up, a caucasian gentleman (the son-in-law to the woman) showed me boots, which were in way worse condition. The material ended up damaged and he refused to acknowledge that he made any mistakes or caused the damage. He claimed that the shoe came in a worse state than what I originally had. He kept saying that the price is not negotiable and refused to budge. I ended up paying $50 and regret ever having walked through the door. These people are not professionals. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR SHOES WITH THEM.

Employees seem more interested in listening to the radio than actually serving customers.

The shoe repair lasted only one wear. The sole split in half and the geek came off on the second wear. Poor materials were used. Never go back
