Banfield Pet Hospital

The staff shredded my original forms for claiming the insurance. I told the front desk that I wanted to mail the paper and at that time the system was down so they had to hold my paper and would call when it's ready. More than a week didn't hear anything, so I went there and the other front desk staff had no clue where my forms were, instead they said that it was faxed already and usually the paper would be shredded. My husband also called to talk to the vet at this Apex location, but never returned his call. I also went to other Banfield locations and like the other reviewer said: it is a factory, not pet hospital. Some of the vet assistants were okay, but others didn't know how to handle and treat the pet. My dog was traumatized and now he hates going to vet offices even pet stores. The incentive of Banfield is the Wellness Plan, but for sure I would break the contract because is not worth it for my dog and I will find another vet office that has more attentive, caring & personable staff.

I went for my cat 3 times. Three different Doc. still couldn't diagnosed correctly. Finally I took to local cat clinic in Morrisville

Slow and most workers seem mentally checked out... sadly the only word I can use to describe this experience is incompetence... my wife had the same experience last time... we will be looking for other options once our contracts are up... sadly...

They got me in very quickly for an appointment and then call two days ahead of time to reschedule due to an emergency surgery to be on that day. OK, things happen. Now that the appointment day has arrived: I accept responsibility for the fact that I was over 15 minutes late for the drop off time that I was given. However, after I waited in line to check in, I was informed that since I had been over 15 minutes late for the time given, my appointment was canceled and I would have to reschedule. This is for a WALK IN appointment!! You have my pet all day long. Not like you've missed time to care for my dog. It's hard to get pets together to get them in the car to get them to the hospital. My time is more valuable than this. At the very least I should've been informed that the policy when the appointment was made. very frustrating. Will not be back

This is not your neighborhood pet hospital this is a factory. If you have the patience of an angel and the determination of an Army General you will do well at this pet hospital. Our issue might be the fact that we have their "pet insurance" But I believe it is more about how the staff is trained to serve their customers. I normally would not write a bad review but when little lives are at stake I think it should be done. For example, we were given a prescription for our pet, unfortunately when we got it home I realized they gave us two different dosage instructions. I called them and was given attitude, "you should know the bottle instructions are the correct one" Okay some one had a bad day - but the fact is no matter how many times we ask for a follow up on a bump or any other condition it is like pulling teeth to get good answers. At the time I am writing this the marketing person and a supervisor are trying to contact us - a perfect example of how the system works at Banfield, slow, slower to stop.
