Benjamin Franklin Plumbing

I hired Benjamin Franklin to install a water heater in a home I bought in December of 2015. After a time I began to notice the floor around the water heater warping. I called Benjamin Franklin in October of 2017 to do a check on the water heater, and a few other minor issues (washers at faucets, things like that). The two gentlemen who came were friendly and respectful. They took off the door to the water heater, looked it over and said what a good job that installation had been and that everything was fine. I voiced my concern about leaks under the house (my son has a mold problem at his house because of a water heater improperly installed) and asked if they would check under the house for any problems.They came back saying everything looked fine (and that there were a lot of spiders under there). I was charged $372.00 for the minor repairs and they left. And my floor continued to warp. So I called a new plumber for a second opinion. These gentlemen came. They were friendly and respectful. They took off the door to the water heater and showed me within minutes that I had a leak under the house. They showed me where it was rotting my floor away. They also showed me that the water heater had been installed with a pipe that was too long and that when the access door was on, it was pressing on this pipe, which may very well have been the pressure that caused the leak. They had me listen to the hiss that was audible as the water sprayed out. Then they went under the house. They came back with pictures on a cell phone showing me the leak – and the very wet wood under my very heavy water heater. They gave me an estimate of $254.70 to fix the leak under the house and the pipe that had been improperly installed at the water heater. So, it cost more to have Benjamin Franklin NOT fix it the problem in October 2017 than what it cost to have the new plumbers fix it today. If you choose Benjamin Franklin Plumbing I hope you have better service than I had. I will not be calling them again. I wish I could leave a review of no stars, but it won't let me.

This company & their plumbers go above & beyond. I have a lift pump station that has a motor that pushes all our waste up to the city sewer. All of our toilets, bathtubs & sinks were backing up because the pump stopped working. Called them they came right away, got everything working temporarily until the next day when he could dig the pump itself up. He came back as promised and tried to make the repair but couldn't finish because there was another issue in our drain lines that needed to be fixed. They made an emergency run to get us a new pump, cleaned all of our lines. Everything is working perfectly now. They went as far as moping the floors, cleaned the toilets & bathtubs for us. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Hire them!!! You will have 100% confidence it will be done right the first time & they warranty their work. Did I mention the pump that needed to be replaced is under ground and he had to dig it up ... he did it in the rain, he didn't complain once & was extremely professional! Thank you Steven & Sheila for your outstanding service and going above & beyond.

They did a wonderful job repairing my toilet, every since last week I've had no problems with my bathrooms!

DO NOT RISK YOUR HOME TO THIS COMPANY!!! $$$ ASK PLUMMER FOR THEIR CERTIFICATION!!! I would rate a -10 if I could. I had a outside fawcett that the pipes were leaking and called for repair. When plummer arrived he explained that repair that he needed to complete was inside the wall. After what he felt like was a fix ( pipe that was repaired extended out past siding 4 inches and then he attached the fawcett head) I know right first sign of crappie craftsmanship and no personal pride in his work in addition the pipe was not secured. One week later watering my lawn the unsecured pipe broke and flood my house. I called them back for same repair and the new plummer explained that it shouldn't have broken if secured but his boss required him to charge me again for horrible craftsmanship. CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY!!!

I have to say that it was the worst experience i have ever dealt with and far as customer service. On two separate occasions they called to reschedule in which the last time they called I explained that they would have to be here at the original rescheduled time set by their dispatch between eight and four . After numerous phone calls they offered to discount my service but not to which they advertise in their ad . I had to reschedule my days to tend to their newly appointed schedules and this was a huge inconvenience. The driver Eric was very professional when he arrived and was very apologetic saying that he felt I was not giving the service that they are known for. I would not recommend this company as keeping their customers happy or punctual service .
