A place I like to come to along route 50. Offers lots of beauty, although I can't stand the greenheads when they are out. Pick a day with a breeze. It can also get very hot along this stretch in the summer and with the water amplifying the heat.

This place is just amazing. It goes on about a mile from each shore. There are street lights every so often, so plenty of light to work and fish by. The crabs and jellyfish seem to love the lights, and hang out in droves under the lights. Plenty of fish, too, though nobody was catching much when we were out there. Still, there were plenty of people fishing, yet there's so much room it wasn't at all crowded. Make sure to obtain a tidal fishing license before you head out.

It's a good place to hang out on the water but I haven't had a good fishing day in years from this pier. Plenty of parking and plenty of space on the old bridge with no concessions at all.
