This is a very new park has had very little done since the state acquired the land, so as of this writing (April 2017) there are no bathrooms, no trail maps or markers, and just a few small and barely marked parking areas. What it does have is a very rural, away-from-it-all setting, literally miles of beach, old farm roads that can be used as walking and biking trails, and stunning views. For the time being, there is no entrance fee, so to my knowledge this is the only public park in St. Mary's County with free beach access in the summer.

Quiet, serene, and some of the most friendly, helpful park staff we have ever encountered. Can't wait to go back.

It is definitely a "get away from it all" kind of place. Very rural. Appears to be available for hunting deer and waterfowl.
