I absolutely love the food here. It was really really good and it brought me right back to being home. The reason for my four stars is because the cashier got me and my friends orders mixed up a couple times but it wasn't such a big deal because it got resolved I was patient. What got me was that it was cold and raining outside and the AC was on inside and I had to eat with my jacket on because of how freezing it was. I'm by the time I was leaving the store, I was literally shivering. Despite that, I think the food is really good and I wouldn't change anything about that. I would probably just take it to go next time.

I want to give this place four stars, I really do. But I got two huge issues with this place, though neither will stop me from dining here. The first is the staff is very impersonal. Not rude, just, matter of fact. They greet you with little effort, they talk to you without enthusiasm and you get a general sense they don't want to be there, every time. There's a kind of, 'Get on with it', attitude they all share when you approach. Sometimes you don't get a greeting, it's just down to business and they're pretty fickle about it. No smiles, no real customer service skills just hurry up and order, pay and get out. You always feel rather unwelcome. Secondly, the portion size of the Curry goat is criminal. It's insanely small made worse by the fact that every time you get mostly bones. This is an unacceptable, but you never really say anything about it. I mean what would you? The unfriendly staff look at you funny and shrug you off when you mention anything about it. Worse is, at other places that sale the same thing, such as Mystic Island and Palm Tree in Hampton, don't front you on the Curry Goat. Problem is, of these three Caribbean Delights has the best Curry Goat. You will probably dislike the customer service, the portion size and the unfriendly atmosphere. But they sale a superior product. I've had quite a few items on their menu and the taste is never disappointing, from the Curry Chicken to there Wings. I wish it was a better dining experience with more content for my money. I'd go more often if I could justify the price vs. what I get on my plate. But when I just need to have curry goat; I know where I'm gonna go.

This place has some truly amazing food for Newport News. I always take my friends here when they come into town for a really unique meal for a fair price. The oxtail with rice, beans and cabbage is my favorite, but the curry is pretty bomb too. Authentic Jamaican drinks and a great photo of Bob Marley overlooks the dining room setting the mood for a slice of the island life right in the middle of town. A must try for adventurous tongues.

I had the oxtail and a side order of the jerk chicken. The oxtail is very tasty and tender. The jerk chicken is always seasoned to perfection and remind me of the islands. The place is always very clean which enhance the experience!

Food is amazing! Only complaint is hours. None really posted and a couple of times during respectable business hours I stopped by and they were closed.
