Delicious & authentic! Quick service with accurate orders plus a smoker out back to lure you in. The oxtails have a delicious flavor, jerk pork was werk seasoned and spicy, and the stew chicken was flavorful. Rice & peas, cabbage, and macaroni & cheese were perfect. The place is take out only with picnic benches outside as an option if you'd like to eat there. Ordering and checkout was fast and friendly with people coming in as soon as others were leaving out.

Hands down the best in the area. Great customer service to match the great food. The meat is seasoned to the bone! I will definitely go to this place again.

Finding good caribbean food is HARD in Hampton Roads. Island Jerk Hut showed a true commitment to ensuring my experience as a 1st time customer was a pleasant one! They were all cordial, patient, and helpful! The chef saw me debating between dishes, and he offered a sample of 2 of them (curry chicken and stewed chicken). I am from New York, and my parents are West Indian.....I KNOW GOOD/AUTHENTIC CARIBBEAN FOOD, and Island Jerk is the real deal! I ordered stewed red snapper, stewed chicken, jerk chicken, and curry goat.....all were AMAZING, and my parents gave the food their nod of approval as well.... rice and peas are perfection as well! If I'm ever out that way, they will definitely get my business. Support this establishment.....you won't be disappointed!!!!!

If you're ever in SoNo you've got to check this little place out. Tiny building, giant flavor! Jerk Chick, Jerk Pork, Brown Stew Chicken, Curry Chicken, Curry Goat. Whatever it is it's gonna be delicious. Simple choice of sides too but every bit as appetizing.
