Montego Island Grill

First time, but certainly not my last. I was a skeptic when I first arrived because it took a while for service. The food and great customer service made up for the delay. I got the curry shrimp. The sauce was very spicy, just the way I like it. The waitress was superb, she played with my little one. My little one was in awe of the lamp at our table so I'm sure she'd give this place a great review too. We will definitely be back. It was clean, nicely lit, and the food was delicious.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Best Carribean food I have had in Hampton Roads. The staff is friendly and the music is always jamming. A classy establishment with just enough street style to make it a place that I would definitely recommend this place for a date night for either a husband or wife or for a guy who's trying make an impression. I will definitely be going back and telling my friends to check it out.

Let me start by saying this place is Simply Amazing! I have tried a couple different dishes here including the oxtail, curry goat, curry chicken and others. My favorite by far is definitely the oxtail. A lot of places I've been to the till Caribbean food are very skimpy on the meat when it comes to the oxtail and it's mostly bone but not here. This place has huge chunks of oxtail meat plenty of gravy all over the rice just the way I like it. Highly recommend this place if you're into Caribbean food prices are great you can either eat in or take out I usually take out because it's quite busy inside most nights but either way you go you can't go wrong.

This place has a great ambiance and all the employees there are very polite and accommodating. This was my first time at this location seeing that I was from out of town. The food is excellent! I couldn't stop from licking my fingers! It also has a romantic setting. When I come back down from Philly, I will definitely visit this restaurant again!

Been there many times. The food isn't as good as it use to be. Will be be going back to MP Island Cafe. The food is better. Its just a little further. Will not be going back. Wasn't please with the food at all. They didnt feel it was necessary to make the situation right after being told that the curry shrimps was watery and the Ox tails were tough.
