I always get the sweet plantains but for the past few months that I've ordered from there... The sweet plantains aren't moist. They made it more of a dry sweet plantain. I would rather have it served moist.

Great food! The ONLY place to get quality, delicious, & flavorful Jamaican food. Staff is very friendly and courteous. And the atmosphere is comfortable. Makes you feel at home.

Had great service from Charlie!! Daughter and I both had the jerk chicken with cabbage and mac n cheese!! It was very good..it comes boneless and a mild sauce..a different version of jerk chicken but good...also had the toasted sugary cocoa bread..I like it but will say I like regular soft cocoa bread better...cute little spot with a nice vibe...will definitely be back!!

Went here for the first time.2 hours ago.....$35 for 6 (whole) wings a "large" serving of the browned chicken with sides of rice and beans, plantains and their chickpea curry. Sides were pretty small for the price charged. Chickpea curry was canned chickpeas with squares of potato (the little kind that come out of a can) with some bottom shelf yellow curry powder, nothing else. The browned  chicken tastes literally of straight salt with no other flavor. Called to the store and was told that their recipe for browned chicken is salty by default. Will not be returning. Please visit Desmonds off of Providence Rd in VB or MP Island Cafe in Norfolk for quality CarrIbean food at a solid price.

Waiter was very friendly and funny, but food is NOT authentic Jamaican food. Jerk chicken is just chicken with barbecue sauce on it and you can only get oxtails over the weekend. What kind’ve real Jamaican place doesn’t have oxtails every day?! I’ve never been the type to write reviews but I am highly disappointed that many of the reviews say this is real Jamaican smh. But I guess that’s what happens when they put a Caribbean place in a gentrified neighborhood.
