Reviews
Primarily about the money. All the compassion of a rock. I won't go into the details of the experience, as it was very painful, but I would never consider taking an animal I loved here again.
EDIT: A lot of people are replying to negative reviews, especially those that mention their costs, with snide comments about how you should expect to pay more for this type of service. I did expect to pay more, and paid plenty. And that bought me rude and incompetent front desk staff, a vet who contradicted herself about the particulars of her diagnosis twice during our consult (which makes sense when you consider that her diagnosis was incorrect), and who while I was crying displayed not even a baseline level of empathy. Not one single "I'm sorry." I was also told I'd be given enough pain medication to see him through the night. I was given one dose. My very beloved cat consequently suffered a great deal. I would have been happy to pay for competence and compassion. I got neither.

We were referred here by our primary vet after our 14 year old dog developed some questionable masses, one of which showed signs of being a MAST cell tumor.
I have several observations about this particular practice from the short time our dog has been in their care.
First, do your own research if you go in for a cancer consultation. The oncologist pushed for amputation of our dog's leg even after an ultrasound revealed that she also had masses on 2 of her internal organs that may or may not have been related to the mass on her leg. We had to point out that this was probably not in our dog's best interest from a quality of life perspective.
Update: This may or may not have been due to the fact that this "very busy" practice relies on interns to assist the specialist, which is fine, the more doctors giving care, the better. On a side note, we have seen a different intern each time we have had an appointment and the actual specialist only on occasions where the intern was unable to answer our questions, which is also fine. New doctors need to learn. Be aware of this as well.
I understand being busy and short staffed, but paying customers should get full attention and patient care should not be compromised. Again, not the vet's fault. Give your doctors time to treat the patients and address owner concerns!
We decided to put our dog on oral chemotherapy and some other medications to manage the side effects. The oral chemotherapy regime that was prescribed has helped to shrink the mass on our dog's leg, so that is a positive, but again, the fact that we had to suggest that as the best course of treatment/quality of life balance didn't make me feel great about the priorities of this practice. It really seemed like they were more interested in collecting the most money they could from us for her treatment, which is not a great feeling when you stand to lose your companion of 14 years.
Second, some of the front desk staff really have no idea what is going on when you call to follow up or ask a question. My husband called to ask for our dog's medication to be filled and the person he spoke with was confused as to why he didn't want to schedule another appointment even after he explained that he had been there just the day before. She clearly had not looked at our dog's history or our account in their system.
I also feel that they are very expensive and price gouge because they really have the only oncology unit in the area. This may be due more to corporate policies. Everyone has to get their cut. I do appreciate that the doctor was upfront with what the expected costs would be, so there is another plus.
I still advise anyone who is still reading just be aware, do your research and read up on your options. You ultimately know what is best for your pet and your family.

We had to have our beloved dog of 13 years put to sleep tonight. The staff here was very kind, compassionate, and accommodating. Dr. TJ Muse was absolutely wonderful. He explained the procedure and what we should expect. He also treated our dear Bella so gently and with the greatest care. He is definitely a great veterinarian. Thank you so much for making such an awful day a little easier for us.

A local vet, who we will also never go to again, unfortunately referred us here. Our cat's liver was failing, she was jaundiced, lethargic, and very close to death. We brought her to this farce of a veterinary clinic in hopes that they would do something, anything to help her. Instead, OVER JUST TWO DAYS (!!!), they essentially scammed us out of nearly two thousand dollars. They wanted money up front for their useless tests, which diagnosed nothing, achieved nothing, and did nothing to ACTUALLY TREAT her condition. All of the tests were "inconclusive". At the end of this train wreck, upon discharge, the vet tech had us sign a "Against Medical Advice" waiver, which I guess protected these shills from any legal repercussions from their straight up theft. We brought our cat to another extremely professional, competent, and caring cat-specific clinic in Greensboro and they treated her immediately. A surgical procedure, three days of hospitalization, home treatments and an implant for tube feedings was still HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS less than what these jokers charged us for zero results. Also, the doctor at our new hospital said that if we had waited any longer to treat our cat she would have died! It's a miracle to us that we realized just how incompetent these idiots are and got her to a new place in time. She was her old self inside of two weeks, and cured in two months. That this place is still in business is astonishing. The most damning thing about this whole thing is that the owners of this trash heap never respond to the numerous negative reviews left by people who trusted and lost beloved pets to their care.

I took my dog here to have his eye checked out since it's been red and puffy for a while now. I didn't like the eye specialist , or the care given to my pet at all. When they took him out of the room they told me they were going to weigh him, and when they came back not ten minutes later, they had supposedly already examined his eye and told me he needed surgery on both eyes. The doctor's explanation was vague and short , and when I tried asking a question she rudely cut me off and told me that if I had any other questions, I should talk to his regular vet. In the end , I came out of that consult more confused than when I walked in. I feel like of you're going to work at a vet you should like animals, and that's definitely not the feeling I got from anyone working there. I'll be looking for a specialist with manners.
