Cascade Springs is a lovely nature preserve. There are several trails to choose from, some more challenging than others -- more like a hike, which we enjoyed. Be aware that the trails aren't well marked and some of them do end abruptly. But overall, we enjoyed our visit here. There are many trees and plants that provide a nice canopy over the park and the springs wind through the area. It's a bigger place than you might expect & you can get a long walk in. The walk to the waterfall is short, and it's a pretty view. The preserve is so lush that you forget you're in Atlanta!

Such a neat and magical place! Find your zen immersing yourself in this green, lush and unique treasure right in the city. Great for hiking/walking and taking the dogs for a run. Waterfalls are beautiful and the scenery can’t be beat. My only complaints would be it could definitely use some clean up and apparently cars often get broken into. Otherwise, highly recommend.

This is absolutely a hidden gem within the city. The greenery, peaceful nature sounds along the trails, granite boulders and trickling lake makes for a nice place to take a walk. There is a pretty cool trail loop with a few extra spurs that leads the curious to go check out. The trail leading to the small waterfall is an easy walk for families with children or dogs. Near the waterfall and tunnel there is a bench and its makes for a nice place to sit and reflect. The history of the springs is pretty interesting so be sure to stop and read the posted information. The operating hours should be extended in my opinion. The front gate is locked during closed times.

A hidden treasure within the city, especially for those who love the woods! This time of year (May) there is an ABUNDANCE OF GREEN, which is very soothing. Not a long or very difficult hike but plenty of trails and beauty to make it worth your time 😍

Wow this place is beautiful. I went with my 3 year old so the terrain wasn’t super easy with a stroller especially going up to see the waterfall but still very doable. There are also nicely paved trails that we enjoyed as well. Very much recommended.
