This place is AMAZING. I love how open and free it feels. The “secret” dog beach area is so fun to take my two pups to. You could get lost easily, I feel. Lots of trails and turns and no signs.

This is one of my new favorite places! Very dog friendly which is great for dog owners and wanna be dog owners who just love pups! It's really beautiful and the neighborhood the trail leads too is cute. Feels very safe and can't wait to go again!

Great place to go for a moderate hike. Not very difficult, but still some hills to climb. There is nice scenery and heavily wooded parts. My dog loved playing with all the other pups by the creek.

The Morningside Nature Preserve is no longer a place of solitude. It has become an illegal off leash dog park. There are no more ducks to watch, you can no longer ride a bike because you will be chased by dogs, and there is litter everywhere. You can barely walk through the park without aggressive dogs running up to you, growling and barking. Dog poop, dog poop in bags left by selfish and lazy people, and dogs running everywhere off leash. This is a City of Atlanta park, and dogs are required to be on leash at all times throughout the entire property. The City of Atlanta must step in and provide oversight and start writing citations and fining people. Dog owners should go to the legal dog parks, such as the one at Piedmont Park.

Cool little getaway not far from the big A. Maybe, 3 miles to and fro. It’s very easy. Good place to take your 2 or 4 legged kids.
