This is a horrible place if you are new to putting your loved one in a facility. Please make sure you know your coverage and Do Not Expect them to be helpful. Once your coverage expires you will be kicked out and they will not help you find and alternative solution. Please do your homework first. Ask how long they can stay before being kicked out!!! Get to know your Case Worker!!!!!!! Heather was mine and she was not helpful at all!! Ask questions even they are rude and think you are unknowledgeable. Make them tell you how long your loved one can stay and make them give you a long term plan or solution. That is their job. Make them inform you about Insurance Coverage and not to just one family member but to anyone in the family who asks. Please, the staff is great there but it is a revolving door and know your loved ones coverage. First Thing, Meet your Case/Social Worker and Let Them Know Who You Are!!!!!!

My great aunt has stayed there twice and I want to say that the place is very clean and smells great. I witness staff being very friendly and helpful to patients who reside there. The front desk was very helpful and knew my aunts room without looking it up. There is a lake where my aunt can look out and see the water. These are the times where you can be nothing but a number but that wasn't what I felt when I went to visit my great aunt. I just want to say Thank you to the staff for being so professional and loving at the same time. It means more than you could imagine for my 97 year old aunt.

My father has stayed with Clapps twice, 13 years apart. Both times, we could not have been happier. Dad never wanted for anything during his stay. His room, bed, tray, person, etc were always kept clean. He enjoyed the food, haircuts, afternoons in the garden and the interaction with the very loving and caring staff. The social workers called him by his nickname, "Red" and referred to him as "Dad" when they spoke to me. This may seem trivial but it made the family trust in the respect and love they were giving him. The Therapy staff truly went the extra mile to ensure he got the greatest benefit possible from his time with them and even visited the house before his release to be sure we were safely set up for his return home. Dad got so many hugs the day we left and even teared up a bit himself, which tells me what he truly thinks of the folks at Clapps. He still brags about them and the excellent care he received. We pray Dad never needs a nursing facility again but if he does, Clapps will be our first pick!
Much love and hugs to the entire Clapps Family! THANK YOU!
