Deer Creek Motel

RM214: - Water's hot - HVAC and all appliances operational - No bedbugs or roaches apparent - Comfy, clean king bed, w/6 pillows! - Staff seemed friendly - Microwave, Mini-fridge, iron, hair dryer, coffee maker, flat screen TV with more channels than most others - Advertised as "American Owned" - Dedicated parking space at each room - Simple, sanitary bathroom - No smoke smell in "no smoking" rooms - Coffee maker with brand name coffee packets provided - Better than local "Days Inn" (which I also liked) - $39.95 for 1 night on 6/5/18! Why not 5 stars? - Furniture is old, but functional - Some paint needed - Understand there is a fee for pets (did not apply to me) Excellent value for price! Wish I would have discovered this place years ago. Better than any Motel 6 in area, unless you're with a pet.

I am editing my earlier review. They put my family in the farthest building which was infested with bed bugs. I have a little child but they had no qualms about putting him there. Had roaches to keep us company. Oh and after the staff had cleaned I had found a baggy of drugs in the bathroom that I flushed before my son could ingest it. They are raided a lot because they are cheap and druggies like to go there. My husband was a maintenance man here who quit after the management proceeded to be rude to guests, continued to demean my husband and worked him worse than a slave, when we got our own place instead of on property they then cut his hours to next to nothing in hopes he would move back in and work like a slave again. If you are from Ohio don't stay there because they don't care about you. If you are passing through you will get all the niceties possible. I have been on the end of both points. Needs a lot of work in my opinion.

Real cozy little place. Cheap rates. I stay here every time I go to Guernsey county to hunt. Real friendly staff.

The rooms I have stayed in have been fine. I am sure some are uneven in updating, so you might ask to see your room first. I like a motel on a single level, opening to the outside. Lots of room to draw your gear inside.

Room was nice. Bed more comfortable than typical motel bed. Good value for price, would stay here again.
