Four Corners Computer Center

I was having issues with a computer crashing while playing a game and doing other miscellaneous things. Took it in. Got charged 80 dollars and they advised me the problem was resolved with a resetting of components and a windows restore. A few days later the problem starts happening again. Took it back in. They said it was a video card. Bought a 600 dollar video card from them. 10 min into a game computer crashes. Took it back and they held onto it for a day. Says the problem is with the mother board. They do not carry motherboards and cannot install them. So now i question if the problem really is the motherboard based on my previous experience. What a way to spend $80.

I've followed Steve for years now. Since he had the shop next to moneytree. I called a bit ago, just to pick a brain. I found that it was a bad HDMI cable. They have always done me right. And I will continue to buy from Four Corners. If I ever need a repair done, they will always be my first thought. Thanks for being around :)

My laptop was obviously broken beyond easy repair, but I just wanted to get a 2nd opinion. I'm perfectly capable of fixing my own computer problems. All the parts were brand new, and I had plans for them. So I signed the paperwork, left it, and got the answer that I was expecting, that they couldn't repair it. So, it's now a broken laptop. Knowing that they wouldn't keep broken parts very long, I called and left a message that I would be by to pay them for the diagnostic, and asked them not to throw it away. I specifically asked them not to throw anything away on the voicemail. I get back from my two week vacation, and they had done just that. They said that it was in the contract that it was theirs after 45 days. What they needed with a broken laptop, I don't know. I imagine they used it for parts like a Chinese prisoner. I was 4 days late, and apparently, a voicemail won't stop them from tossing stuff. I added a star because they at least had the decency of backing up the hard drive to a DVD-R.
