I won’t receive a bill for about 3 months, then when I do it’s them threatening disconnect. Every time I call they say “it’s your responsibility to receive the bill.” Very convenient it’s always 3 months then a disconnection notice. However, I do check my bill online and it will say about due 0.00. So I call again and I got told “Well if it says 0 why you calling? It’s 0.” Then my water gets cut off. I call and they say I’m behind even though I have called countless times. I work out a payment plan for the next 3 paychecks. The last paycheck was on hold for a few days. I call and told them my last payment would be a few days late and I’d call on this certain date and pay it. I kept that promise and paid on that date. Fast forward a year and this same thing happens again, I call have to set up another arrangement and I get told because I paid a few days later than originally scheduled, they can’t allow me to do another plan ever again! Why? Because “I broke the original promise.” I guess calling them and telling them wasn’t good enough. If I could give 0 stars I would. Very rude. Not willing to work with anyone. This is month 3 again that I haven’t received a bill but luckily it’s been showing up online for me to pay. This place is extremely unprofessional.

NOTICE: WWTA claims they have recently updated their system, but will not consider potential errors in that system update. If WWTA has done this to you as well, please contact me privately. I am considering rounding up all of the affected customers to develop a class for suit. Here's my story... WWTA has just tried sending me a bill that was not itemized for services provided to an address I lived in 4 years ago. Their claim is that I didn't pay our final bill. I had all my bills forwarded to my new address for a year by the post office. There was no correspondence from WWTA by mail or by phone since that time. Here's a short-hand play by play of my call with a supervisor: Me: I had all mail forwarded to my new address for a full year, why didn't you send me a late fee notice? WWTA: We did. You didn't receive them. Me: Odd that I only missed your notices and no other mail in the last 4 years. I still have the same phone number. Why didn't you try calling? WWTA: We don't call people to collect money. Me: Why didn't you send it to collections after all this time? They certainly would have called. WWTA: This fell through the cracks, so we did not attempt to collect the debt. Me: So it "Fell Through The Cracks" meaning you didn't know we owed you money, but you have been trying to collect this for four years without knowing it was owed? What is the date range you're trying to collect for? WWTA: Sept 2-30, 2014 Me: I have evidence that proves I purchased my new home on Aug 28, 2014 and receipts that show I was moved out on that date as well. Do you have evidence showing my mail was returned to you? WWTA: No. Me: Does the meter reading show any usage for the date range you specified? WWTA: No. Me: Interesting. So, I have evidence to the contrary, and you don't have any supporting data to show I owe this to you. So, if I choose not to pay? WWTA: We'll send you to collections. In essence, WWTA is threatening me to pay money I don't owe, and if I don't pay it, they will hurt my credit rating by sending a false bill to collections four years later. The money won't break the bank for me. They only want $24.81. But, if they are doing this to several of their former customers, they stand to make a lot of money at our expense, and have the ability to affect our credit scored if we don't pay. I will be paying them to ensure our credit is not impacted in any way, and will maintain a record of all correspondence with them going forward. If this has happened to you, I recommend doing the same. Please feel free to contact me if this happened to you, and if there's enough of us affected, I will hire an attorney to represent us so we can be reimbursed. I hope your "system update" was worth it, WWTA.

Biggest rip off ever! I've lived in 3 different states just moved to this area last year and never have I paid double for water like I am now.. They say they clean the water but had water samples taken from my house and it's just like the water down the road at my parents house in Georgia. They disconnected us x2 now due to their lack of communication.. they said they've been emailing us the bill but when we checked we received none.. All to come to find out that they spelt the name wrong in the email. DO NOT MOVE in a area that is governed by wwta.

Unfortunately I have been with WWTA for several years. Yes, it is true that my water bill doubled since American Water split into two separate companies. But something that happened recently just proves how disorganized they are and how they aren't willing to own up to their own mistakes. In April of last year I logged in to their website to pay my bill (like I usually do). When I attempted to pay I received a notification that the "account was overpaid" and that "nothing was due at this time". Now, I had this happen once before with them so I didn't think anything of it. The next month I attempted to pay and received the same notification "Account is overpaid. Nothing is due at this time." I received that notification for about 11 months. So, in March (or April) can't remember. I received a bill for nearly $900. My initial reaction was that of the nuclear type. I called them immediatley. I was told by WWTA that they had our account as "disabled" or "inactive" as of April 2016. This means one of their workers should have come and turned our water off. But, that NEVER happened. So, when they went and checked my meter you can guess that there was quite a difference since the last time they measured (a year ago). I told them that no one ever came and turned off the water. I also told them that I had attempted to pay online, but received notifications that the account was overpaid and that nothing was due at this time. They stated that the account still had to be paid for in full and that they didn't do any type of payment plan. Soooooooooooooo, I asked to talk to someone that COULD set that up for me. The manager I talked to was somewhat helpful. We did work out a payment plan. But, she forgot to mention the part where I would also have to pay late fee of like $30(something) bucks each month until I was caught up. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT MOVING SOMEWHERE, PLEASE ENSURE WWTA DOES NOT GOVERN YOUR SEWER BILL..... OR ANYTHING. EVER. LAWD. ლ(ಥ Д ಥ )ლ Side Note: If your reading this you may be thinking, "Why wouldn't you just call them to see what was going on when this started happening?" Well.... 1) They don't have a 24hr phone line (unless it's an emergency). 2) I have 2 jobs. (to which i contribute a combined total of 50hrs/week) 3) I have small children (People that do not have kids will not understand). 4) I'm a full time Computer Engineering student. 5) I had every intention of calling after the 4th time. and the 5th time. and 6th time. and so on, and so on. I mean honestly I forgot alot. I mean if you've ever taken Computer Engineering courses and had 2 jobs and small children, you'd forget alot too. ᕕ( ಠ‿ಠ)ᕗ

Worthless. Moved to a new home where the water bill was not in my name. They get their info from Water Co which didn't have new address. So instead of calling, or emailing to let me know of a balance from 2014, they just gave all of that information to a debt collector... Their billing cycle is a month after every other bill, so sure, I should have remembered to pay it. But that's how you handle that? No phone call, no email? Just ruin his credit! Asshooles.
