Arrived at hotel and even though a doorman was standing at the entrance, still had to open the door ourselves. No big deal... Even though it was shortly after 3pm, our rooms were not ready. It wasn't simply the fact that they weren't ready (they say 4pm check in time), it was the surly / grumpy attitude by the reception staff - something that I'd have probably let slide in a low budget chain, but not with the premium price we were paying for our two nights here. Concierge however was quite excellent and friendly, and we told him so at the time. Thankfully my room was faultless.

I always try to stay at this hotel when I'm in DC for work. It's in a great area near good restaurants and 2 minutes from a metro station. The rooms themselves aren't huge, but they are comfortable and the beds are very nice. The staff is super friendly and constantly asking how they can help you. As a matter of fact, the manager and staff went above and beyond this most recent stay. I dropped my wedding ring in the elevator and it rolled into the crack at the door and down the elevator shaft. The manager had his engineering office look not once, but twice for it and they found it for me. And for that, I'll always be grateful for the caring staff at The Hamilton Hotel. Thanks guys!

Was my first stay. Actually, a nice hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff, cute bar and in a very good location. Public transport is within 3 minutes, White House in about 8 minutes walking distance.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get more than just warm water for a shower, all over my stay over 5 nights.
Besides, a good hotel for a stay in DC.

Lovely place. Close to the white house. Good restaurants in walking distance. Didn't have time to check out the gym. To busy sightseeing. I was upgraded to the 12th floor. So I guess my room was special.

Perfect location right in the middle of the city. Walking distance to everything. A 24 hour CVS right across the street and a Starbucks in the lobby. Rooms were a bit small, but comfortable. You'll most likely have a view of gravel or of the next building, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, a total delight and nice to not stay at a typical chain
