When I moved to Washington DC for the first time in 2012, I join the National Press Club where I met some of my first friends in DC. It’s a fantastic place at a central location that has almost everything to offer for journalists and communicators. The club offers free breakfast, gym, a great library, working space, discounts on events, and, above all, free tacos evert Friday night.

Temperature control is not great. But at least they have good coffee.

This place has such a cool history to it. The 13th floor restaurant, The Fourth Estate (named for journalism being considered the unofficial 4th branch of the government) is open to the public, and serves fantastic food in generous portions for reasonable prices from fantastic service personnel.
