Hampton Inn Jackson

If you have to travel to different locations in order to do your job then being away from home is just part of the hassle. The Hampton Inn located in Jackson, Michigan is a very comfortable hotel. The staff are very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate my crew. They got 4 stars because they didn't have microwaves or refrigerators which is necessary for long-term stays. I still recommend this as a suitable place to post up for a week at most.

Initially had some issues with a noisy neighbor, but they quickly moved us to another room. They must have told some of the staff too, because they were quite courteous to us. The people running the breakfast were really nice and polite. I'm from the south, and it reminded me a lot of classic southern hospitality (not something I was expecting in Michigan. Lol) All other amenities were great and as expected.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, especially the girl working the front desk and breakfast area. She was actually keeping the food stocked up until 10am - unlike many Hamptons which run out 30 minutes before the official end of breakfast. This is a smaller hotel but newly renovated with plenty of parking.

Clean. Beautiful. Friendly staff. Lovely decor. Comfortable beds. Clean air conditioning is a huge plus for people (like me) with mold and dust allergies.

Not happy with our stay at all! Smelled of bleach and kicked up our allergies big time. Shower and faucet water had high chlorine smell. Brought on breathing difficulties. Had to use inhalers several times for only one night stay. No counter space in the bathroom and no minifridge or microwave! Shower floor was scummy. We really were angry that we spent $100 plus for this scrappy room. Would not stay at a Hampton Inn nor recommend it to anyone. Very disappointed! 😣
