From the very first email, when I contacted him about a refinance to the last followup email, Kevin was prompt to respond, knowledgeable, friendly and thorough throughout the entire process. The refinance was done completely through email except for the final closing paperwork. It was fast and simple. This is our 3rd finance withJB Nutter over the past 28 years. You can definitely tell who may be employees or people who were asked to do reviews by how some of these reviews are worded.I've dealt with this company as an insurance agent many times and I can tell you the experience is not good. They are slow, they are not friendly at all, and they cause a lot of trouble with escrow/impound accounts. I would not recommend anyone do business with this mortgage company.

The professional service and ease of processing are reason enough to call them first. The comfort of knowing that my mortgage will stay with a great company is a wonderful bonus. Our last mortgage with a different company was sold 3 times in 4 years and every time it was a pain. If you're reading this, you're trying to make sure you're making the right choice. Smart thinking. Nutter owned a vacant property next to my condo. The condo unit they owned had a black mold issue after two flooding incidents. They were alerted of the issue multiple times and it took them months to do anything about it. My child and I have been ill as a result of mold exposure. We have been out of our unit for four months. Two months ago they told us they 'cleaned up." We temporarily moved back in and were ill again. I was able to enter the vacant unit and found it to still have visible black mold and was not cleaned up. To date, we are still out of our home and Nutter has offered no resolution. If this is how they treat properties they own and knowingly ignore serious health issues impacting adult, children and pets, do you think they will take the same care and concern with your mortgage?
