So glad I was only passing through for a short stop. The attendants that we're helping since I hadn't been there before were great. They want to make sure you get on the right bus just as much as you do. The station is just extremely small. There are Starbucks bigger that this. It seems to be busy terminal. They need to invest into new station. Don't know if there is any competitor to go to spend your money though. Thank you for help since I was on crutches all station workers you were 5💥

The terminal has gone through a remodeling. Nice terminal. CLEAN TERMINAL! Not many I've seen across country that are kept up on this. Small Terminal. No covering for buses as they approach outside. It can be a bit chaotic during the rush periods. Otherwise, the staff in the terminal are friendly. I see the hours are from 4am to 1130p,(Kansas City @410a; Minneapolis and Sioux Falls via Albert Lea @545a; Omaha and Denver@545a; Chicago Direct@830a; Cedar Rapids and Rockford@855a; Burlington, Indianapolis and St. Louis@855a; Minneapolis Local@1140a; Chicago Direct@3p; Omaha and Denver@610p; Ft. Smith and Texarkana via Kansas City@615p; Omaha Express@1115p; Chicago Direct @1110p; Minneapolis Direct@1130p; points of connections as Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque, Phoenix and Los Angeles via Tulsa@1145p) closing when the last bus scheduled. I guess since there are no overnight buses, no need to stay open.

If you regularly travel by bus, then you know not to expect top-notch amenities. You certainly will not find them at the Burlington Trailways station in Des Moines. However, there are all the necessary facilities here, and the staff were very helpful when I boarded at this location. Bus travel is a great way to get around without spending a fortune, but the stations often are not places you want to spend a large amount of time.

Had a TERRIBLE trip in early November. I will never take the bus again. No one knew any reliable information, there were disruptive and horrible passengers and drivers and station attendants.The driver on the last leg screamed and yelled at everyone, including a woman traveling alone. She must have been terrified -it was totally uncalled-for. I wish I had the presence of mind to record video.
