Junior's

This place is clearly not what it used to be in the sense that the food has changed its taste. I remember going here with my pop and the food was always fresh hot and served with a smile. The waiters and waitresses that they have now serving our from a younger generation with attitude. I remember the old-timers such as Fred and the lady who no longer works there who people thought she would never retire I believe her name was Kate I'm not sure older white woman as well as Hazel these waiters and waitresses where one of the reasons juniors was a place to go to because they would always have a smile they would always cause you spend more money than you do just by sitting there and talking to them and then they would simply ask you would you like something more? The way it is today are not the same. As a result of this if you knew what you got back then you would know what you're getting now is no comparison

Nice atmosphere. The establishment could use an extra bathroom. Service was good. Wait staff friendly. No matter the time of the day the food is delicious. I had the broiled salmon with vegetables and coconut rice and beans. The salmon was perfect. Veggies sauteed to perfection and rice and beans also well cooked. Everything was well seasoned NOT salty. Juniors is very famous for their cheesecake. They are usually good. This time, not so good. I had the strawberry cheesecake. The cheesecake itself was great. The strawberries were going bad and it was mixed with a filling layered on top of the cheesecake. That part I did not care for at all. It's too much goop. Otherwise a good place to gather any time of the day for a good meal.

Went there because this place was listed as one of the best for cheesecakes in NYC. Big place, great menu selection. We also ordered a sandwich - good quality, big portion. As for cheesecakes - wide variety, we tried original (really delicious) and chocolate (good one). I'm giving 3 stars because of the stuff who did not seem much friendly. The reception lady doesn't know how to smile at all. Also our waiter made us wait 15 minutes before he gave us check.

I had breakfast I'm happy they were open. Hot chocolate was extremely sweet and I've had better blueberry muffin. My boyfriend had eggs he ate it all. However he too thought the hot chocolate was too sweet. Good location

Love, love, love the desserts but expensive. Be prepared. It is always busy at the dessert counter. A lot of people get whole cakes and pies. Plus, there are cookies and pastries. For lunch I got a grilled cheese with bacon and fries. Yummy. I got it to go because parking can be a pain but I absolutely love Junior's!
