Just Oxtails Soul Food

I came in very late at night and I thought the place was going to be closed. To my surprise the place was still open and running. That is what I call dedication. Staying back after closing hours shows that just oxtails have good characters and good hearts for my location in Houston. This was my first time coming here and I suggest coming here not for just the food, but to also get to know the guys working here because the guys feel like family. Sadly on my part, I couldn’t socialize with the great people at just oxtails soul food because I was hungry and rushing for the night, but the people here deserve slightly better treatment for their great services thank you. The employees have a great attitude. The food is also very good. My husband and I always come there. I have a great experience every time I visit. I finally took my mother before she passed. We ate there and my mom loved it. So, that was my first time eating in the restaurant. And the service was great. I usually just buy to go. You all are amazing. I love getting food from there. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

This place made me feel like I was sitting at the kitchen table, eating a home cooked meal. The oxtails were absolutely brilliant, as so were the mustard greens and sweet potato. This place needs more recognition than it gets- the staff were also so friendly, nice, and you're treated like you were family. This is on my list of favorites and will be definitely revisiting.

Very good food. The guys working in there will treat you right if you talk to em right. I like that! That's why I'm giving 3 stars only. The owners need to come and check on their own business. The place is falling apart, and is not lack of cleaning, they have someone constantly cleaning g, but the walls need fresh paint, the ceiling needs repairs, the whole thing needs a remodel. For the amount of money they charge I would have hoped that to be long overdue.

My experience tonight was great. I got off of work late, and I didn't want to cook. It's open til 9 so yep! I went and got me an order of oxtails and a another with catfish. Everything was good from the green beans to the sweet cornbread. I wish it wasn't that expensive though $45 for 2 plates and a coke oh and peach cobbler. But I feel so full and everything was so tasty!
