Mikki's Soulfood Cafe

My fiance and I had a good experience here. Customer service was excellent and placing a to-go order was fast and efficient. I ordered the 3 piece fried chicken, collard greens, corn bread dressing and candied yams, all were very tasty and seasoned well( I did add a little salt to the greens)My fiance had the ox tails, cabbage, white rice, pinto beans and mac and cheese. He enjoyed and I sampled. All were very tasty. Overall, I would definitely recommend to anyone considering a Good Soul Food Restaurant.

Very GOOD FOOD!!! THE OXTAILS WERE SO TENDER, THE GREENS JUICES GOT ME BECAUSE I WAS SURPRISED BY THE SPICES BUT OHH--- STILL SO GOOD!!! THE ITALIAN CREAM CHEESE CAKE WAS OFF THE HOOK AS WELL!!! GOOD SERVICE FROM THE SERVER TO THE TABLE!!! I ENJOYED MY FIRST VISIT!! ILL BE GOING BACK SOON!!

The first experience I had was amazing. It wasn’t super busy, we didn’t wait long. The food was hot and fresh and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I went in today at 2:25pm, April 8th on a SUNDAY, and definitely forgot about how busy it could get, especially after church service. I was very disappointed when i found out that they were completely sold out of fish!!!! I specifically showed up JUST for fish. I waited in line 30 minutes just for them to tell me that they ran out!!!!! It is LENT SEASON. Come on folks. Stayed stocked up. But I support black businesses and the taste of her food was not disappointing at all. I’ll be back, but NEXT time, please HAVE THE FISH!

The cabbage, beef steak, and pepper steak at the SW Houston taste fabulously excellent! My only issue is that it was ridiculously hot inside the restaurant. We had to get our food to go.

They do a damn good job at the soul food thing... The food has been good for years... And it's so nice to see a black owned restaurant standing tall after all this time!
