Launderette

So I went here for Saturday brunch. This place is extremely small for the type and size of crowds that it attracts. This place attracts parties from like 4-8 people and usually parties that want to stay for long periods of time. With that being said, make sure to plan for wait time because there will be a wait. The wait was bearable because you are able to order drinks and wait. Now, after the wait, we got seated and the service was good. Food came out quick. The food was super delicious and well plated. Now the thing that threw my 5 star review down to a 4 star was that it wasn't until the very end of our meals that we were told that we would have to split the checks ourselves. Now doing this after we had a few drinks and full bellies was not fun. It just threw the whole vibe off having to sit there and split the check ourselves. Other than that, this place was really cute and fun. Just plan for wait time and remember that they DO NOT split checks!

Wow this place was delicious! Everything we ordered was top notch. They also had a kids meal to please kids, which was nice. My son got a yummy grilled cheese. The brussel sprouts were amazing! A must try. Also the birthday cake ice cream sandwich had gotten a lot of love so we had to try it and it lived up to its reputation.

The place is nice, and loud but not overly so. I'd never been and looked forward to trying it. Went for brunch today, and was disappointed that there was only exactly 1 entree on the menu that was vegetarian/vegan AND gluten free, a veggie bowl that I just wasn't in the mood for today. I asked our waitress if they could do the Pastrami Hash without pastrami, and she basically steered me back to the bowl or other items I can't eat. When I explained I'm both GF & veggie, she said the bowl was the only real option then. I ordered a side salad & some fries, but was disappointed not to have more options. I later asked her if it wasn't possible to make the Pastrami Hash without meat & just more potatoes, and she seemed to indicate that the chef isn't cool with making such alterations. Again, I was disappointed as normally almost every other place I go they're willing to modify a dish when asked due to dietary needs & allergies. Service was good otherwise & my drink was decent, so will possibly give Launderette another try for dinner sometime. Hope they have a few more options for me if I do, though!

One of the best meals I ever had in Austin. Their food and menu is amazing. It’s not that budget friendly for a college student, but if you do have the money to spend I would highly recommend it. I also love their drink menu. Cocktails are what you want to be drinking.

Amazing food and a fantastic menu. One of the best I've had in all of Austin, and that says something. Definitely more on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. Make sure you dress a bit on the nicer side for this venue, but no need for something as fancy as a suit and tie. I visited with a large group and we tried almost the entire menu all together, nothing disappointed us. Their cocktails were amazing as well. I would suggest getting a vegetable to share for every 2 to 3 people.
