MDOT Motor Vehicle Administration

I went there today to get my license and as soon as I sat down the employee (shoulder length black hair with a split down the middle, not quite sure what her accent origin is from but I’m guessing Spanish because of the way she pronounced my first name the way my HS Spanish teacher pronounced it, I wish I could have gotten her first name but of course they don’t have name tags or introduce themselves) asked who processed me at the door and I explained the nice, older man went over my documents and gave me a ticket and she went on to complain that I should’ve had my proper documents ready. She wouldn’t accept my lease as a proof of address because I digitally signed it versus a handwritten signature (that’s how the leasing agent had us do it) or my electric statement that declared my start of service at the house because it wasn’t a bill. My husband came with the same documents and they issued him his license. I get she doesn’t make the rules but she was very rude from the onset and I wouldn’t recommend going to this location. You’re better off waiting in the long lines somewhere else because their lack of customer service there isn't worth the shorter wait.

I went there for my road test today. This MVa was amazing. Some of employees were so rude specially the black lady who sit to register for your road test(she was so rude and put me on hold and taking the others). She doesn't want to talk to us( just racist) but the other white lady was so helpful. She was so nice and explained everything in detail. I really like her. Most important part is Mr. Derrick. An AMAZING Guy .... Best instructor in the whole MVA. I asked him many times to make me clear where I have to turn( but he didn't upset).He was really helpful. He is the only asset of this MVA. Heads off

Do NOT take anything they give you lightly. Do research before coming to this place. They have incompetent workers who makes the other staff members look bad. Some of the workers have a VERY thick accent and is hard to understand. At the same time, they need supervision due to how incompetent they are. I have dealt with their secretary who is a bumbling fool. He is from some African country and is bald. He took so long that they needed someone to serve people in the line while they had to replace him from his station from his shear lack of understanding his job. I can understand that people can be slow learners and are new but you would think they would have him trained to be in the position. NOPE! Another time, they had a trainee that instead of giving me a temporary licence, he gave me a full one for just a month rather than a few years. Do not trust them blindly. As I said before, do your research first before you go there.

It took 45 minutes to see a Supervisor. Got there at 8:30 and she finally called on me at 9:20. Zero personality. Felt like I was being avoided.
