It's fun to float along with the current of the river. The river is not deep. The children seemed to be enjoying. Went during the memorial day weekend. It looked like a small village with the people living in their vehicle-homes in the camping area.

This place is absolutely beautiful. There are some great hiking trails here. We just did the "wilderness trail" hiking path and it was stunning. It was 8.5 miles and there are 8 first-come first-serve campsites along the trail if you want to stay overnight, which we did. The campsite was very minimal, but better than nothing. I can't emphasis how beautiful the trail was in the spring, but BEWARE: that trail is very thick with brush and trees and there will be ticks. Spray your clothes with permethrin the day before and wear bug repellent and you should be fine. The Meramac River is also a great place for a float trip. I highly recommend spending some time here. Super helpful park staff, as well.

They provided a station to use compressed air to pump up tubes. Life jackets of all sizes and safe parking all for free. Park was well kept and clean. HOWEVER, The bathrooms hadn't been so much as hosed out in weeks They were vile!!!! They also locked them early Wich wasn't very nice. Three 🌟.

Huge park. The lady at the visitor's center was so nice and very helpful. The center itself was filled with informational, interactive things for parents and kids. Definitely want to return and explore more!
