Wildlife galore!! Whitetail deer, turkey, fox, racoons,a large variety of songbirds, shorebirds, and birds of prey. Good picnic spot with a pavillion and the meramec river is just off a paved jogging trail.A concrete boat ramp is available but bank fishing,or wade fishing can be difficult, although fishing is surprisingly good in this stretch of the river. CHECK FOR TICS !! PETS TOO!!

Love that the trail is a paved circle just under 2 miles. They also offer gravel off road trails. Beautiful park!

One great park now unfortunately cut into 2 pieces. Both sides once accessible by a historic bridge servicing what was once the Love Canal neighborhood and now is the beautiful Route 66 State Park. The Bridge now out of use, you can gain access to either side by freeway only. It is indeed a hassle but we'll worth the effort. Make sure to visit the wonderful people and fantastic Route 66 Museum and gift store in the visitors center.

Would be nice if there were trash cans in park especially in the picnic area. Find it funny the slogan is “keep Missouri parks clean.”
