Nice small park and beach in the heart of charlevoix. Good place to look for petoskey stones. Has men and women restrooms that are big enough to change into or out of beach wear. They also have a concession stand that serves very good lunches and dinners. I had the smoked whitefish cake sliders, which were awesome and a sandwich made with ham, Swiss cheese, coleslaw on a crusty bread; my wife had the grilled chicken sliders and fries. All the food was wonderful.

We went on a Sunday afternoon in June, and I was surprised this beach wasn't more crowded! There are tons of fun rocks to search through along the beach, and the water is absolutely beautiful. We bought food at the "snack shop" in the park and had a picnic on the well-kept grass. All-around fun day.

Beautiful! We went the first day of April when it was 50 degrees. There was still snow piled up on the shore, but tons of rocks just in front. We found some really cool rocks including several charlevoix stones and a petosky stone. There are a swing set and a tall metal slide that my kids enjoyed. The sand is beautiful and oh my these rocks are so cool.
A really nice local man found some more stones for us and told us about the area. He said the beach is popular during the summer. There is another local beach that he said might be a bit better for little ones with more shallow water and no steep drop offs. Though he said this one is great. It was really neat to see local people there enjoying the views and weather. I would definitely come back!
