The lighthouse is closed for the season, but will be on our list of places to visit in the summer. Beach is rocky, great place to rock hunt for Petoskey stones.

We went on a Tuesday....and it was closed. We didn't know that. However there was a path to the beach area and you can see the lighthouse just fine from there.

We visited Point Betsie just before the lighthouse grounds and gift shop opened for 2017 season. It is an easy lighthouse to get to and visit and has a nice beach area with lots of lake rocks and great views. We really enjoyed the waves and walking along the beach.

Absolutely beautiful lighthouse! You can climb all the way to the top and the view is amazing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The house has very interesting historical items. This is a must see destination!
