Happened to have all the gates closed when I came here on April 26. However I parked by the road and trudged up to the beach. Everything was very nice. I sat on a bench and just enjoyed watching the Lake. Then I read for awhile, it was all very relaxing. It was all very clean. Overall a 4 1/2 stars which I'm rounding down to 4. Would I return? Yes.

Even though we were here on Memorial Day and the beach was busy, we had a great time! Parking was challenging, but so worth it. The beach was clean and family friendly. We will definitely be back!

Always a great park. It's usually incredibly busy in the warmer months, but you'll enjoy yourself here even if the lake is frozen over. Make sure to walk towards town on the boardwalk to do some additional exploring.

What is not to Love about the park. The beach is great. The long beautiful pier. And the glorious lake Michigan sunset's. Don't forget about the great eatery's nearby and fun entertainment options.

Lake Michigan beaches are my absolute favoriteplaces by far.. This was a surprisingly very quiet beach and the wind socks were so big and beautiful. My daughter and I LOVED IT
