National Car Rental

This place is a joke.... We called ahead to make sure that all our payment type and such would be acquit for rental. We were assured that everything was fine and we wouldn't have an issue. We arrive to leave on our trip and the lady behind the counter was very unpleasant and refused to rent us the vehicle even after we had call and comfirmed. Stay away from this place and go some where with some reputation.

Ignore all the hateful reviews - People that feel they were cheated either didn't bring the proper payment type (credit cards only - no debit!!!), smoked in their cars, damaged their cars, or turned their cars in late. If you don't want to get charged extra, be responsible with your car. It's that simple.

Jerry at National rental car in Idaho Falls sucks. Don’t show up even a minute late because you know Jerry will charge you for another day. Wait, the day rate was $63 and somehow Jerry added on another $100 instead of the $63. Good math Jerry! Hertz or Enterprise. Never renting with Alamo or National again. (I know they are owned by enterprise but customer service is better with enterprise.)

BE WARNED THAT VEHICLES RETURNED TO THIS LOCATION WITHOUT DAMAGE MAY RESULT IN CHARGES IN EXCESS OF $2400!! I am a regular business traveler and maintain the highest rental status with National Car Rental, Executive Elite. After returning a vehicle to this location, I received an invoice a week later for almost $500 claiming that I damaged the back bumper. After sending a letter disputing this claim, I received a second invoice for an additional $1900 claiming extensive dings and dents covering the hood, roof, and trunk of the vehicle consistent with hail damage. Not only am I not responsible for the alleged bumper damage, but there were no storms, hail, or even rain during my rental period which can be proven based on weather history data. Despite the absurdity of it all, this group continues to pursue their claim and attempts to collect for these false allegations.

Has one way rental, not cheap though. No sales pressures - gas prepay, insurance ....
