Nelson's Ice Cream

Prepare to wait in line, if you come to Nelson's, but the wait is worth it. They have many flavors of ice cream, just look up at the chalkboard wall. The prices are very reasonable. When you look at the process and see single, double, and triple, that's not a number of scoops, but rather a number of flavors. A single could easily be shared by multiple people... you have been warned. You will find yourself coming back to Nelson's, over and over.

I got the child size and it was HUGE!! I couldn't eat it all! The workers were so nice!! In Indiana, where I'm from, you would never pay only $4.00 for that size. You wouldn't get that size there period. When I come back to Minnesota, Nelson's is definitely on my must visit list again!!

Nelson's offers the most bang for your buck of any ice cream shop I've even been to -bar none. Their kid's size feeds three younger kids easily or two adults. Although the atmosphere isn't anything special - the building is nondescript and the seating is only available outside on asphalt - you won't regret stopping here for a cold treat.

About a twenty minute wait on a Friday night...not bad for the amount of ice cream one gets. The best way to describe it would be an awkward amount of ice cream for cheap. Pleasent atmosphere. Great experience.

The ice cream is gigantic! It can be busy, but it is well worth it. They have many flavors that are amazing. There is no indoor seating, but there are tables outside for you to sit on.
