Cute ice cream and candy shop in Afton, MN. You can get a treat and eat inside or outside. There is also a nice little koi pond out front. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the serving portion. The single scoop is quite small for $3.50. That being said, there is a nice variety of ice cream flavors and candies.

If it's hot out, even if it's not, take a nice drive to the small downtown of Afton Alps and go enjoy some delicious ice cream at Selma's!
All kinds of creative ice cream options and during my most recent visit with my family and friends of ours, it again didn't disappoint. I don't remember all of the flavors that all of us ordered, but I do remember the following and I'll hit on mine because it was probably my favorite flavor yet;
- Yippee Skippee, a bunch of stuff included, but worth getting once you see the description yourself.
- Strawberry, which my little buddy destroyed!
- Makinac Island Fudge was purchased by one of my neighbors and it looked awesome.
- Fat Elvis is what I ordered and it was awesome!
The Fat Elvis is indeed a must get! Starts off with banana flavored ice cream, mixed with chunks of peanut butter and chocolate chips. It WAS awesome and I would seriously recommend this to everyone.
The place is always comfortably packed and you're able to get in and get out just fine. All kinds of chairs and plenty of shade to sit and just enjoy your selection.

They have over 20 flavors of Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream. In my opinion, probably the best ice cream I've ever tasted. Especially the "This Just Got Serious" flavor. Yes, that is actually the name of the flavor.

This is BY FAR the best ice cream shop in MN. Nelson's is also very good but they give you way too much ice cream (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). Selma's is in a beautiful location and it is never quite as busy as Nelson's. It is also the oldest ice cream shop in MN. Truly a hidden gem!

Minnesota’s Oldest Ice Cream Parlour with a pretty cool history. Extensive ice cream flavor selection, along with old-school candies, and a little coffee shop portion for some afternoon affogato. This little shoppe is Smalltown USA at its finest. They also have plenty of patio seating and are right across from the neighborhood park.
