Party City

Great selection for all your party needs, but I had a really bad experience there today. Called in earlier to see how long of a wait time for the balloons. They told me one hour. I show up, now it's two hours! Yes, they were busy, but should have told me so when I called in the first place. Now, my birthday party pre-planning is completely off and I am in a time bind. Since I am there, I shop for other party things. By this time the store is empty (the rush of people ordering the balloons is gone). The staff are just casually chatting amongst each other. So, I ask them for help finding ribbons for the ballons. So, instead of showing me where those ribbons are, one of them just sends me down the isle to look for them (there are a billion different things and very easy to get lost). After I couldn't find what I was looking for, I asked them nicely again to show me where it is (the store is still empty) and, Hallelujah! One of the staff does me a "big favour" - she looks at me, pauses and then asks one of the staff to help me out and then continues chatting. Then I am ready to pay - I am the only person in the line - she looks at me and continues chatting. I am sitting there for over a minute waiting for someone to call me over! Will avoid coming here at all costs! You guys are busy - that's great! But you should learn the basics of customer service.

Prices are extremely high for the products you're buying (one use tissue paper pom poms are $11?!) , and we were waiting in line for thirty minutes when there was only one other person in front of us and only one cash open. They need better customer service, no question -- if I hadn't desperately needed the items I was there to buy, I would've left.

Worst run place EVER!!!! Don't waste your time. Needed 2 balloons. 2. Told to come back in 2 hours. ??? Place an order for 2 balloons?? Stood in line for 15 minutes first. One cashier. Finally got to the cash only to be told to pre order 2 balloons. Hahaha complete joke. Drove to the Richmond hill location and has my 2 balloons in less than 10 minutes

Never ask the staff 'how they like to party' they get quite upset.
