Polynesian Water Park Hotel

Location is wonderful, easy access to the highway and downtown, pool areas both server their purpose well. However, the room could definitely use some improvement. It looked like the room was cleaned and then left empty for a couple months. Dusty, and semi dirty floors. Many stains on the linens, but the worst part was a very large stain (blood?) on one of the mattresses. It was on the side, and bottom, so it had to have been seen and flipped over at some point. We called the front desk and they promptly changed out the mattress with a fresh one.

Hotel was located in a great location. Very close to the interstate, which is convenient. Also, staff was very friendly. The indoor water park was very nice. HOWEVER, The room definitely needs updating. The toilet paper roll holder was basically falling off the wall, as well as the shower curtain rod. The outdoor pools were dirty- full of leaves and what we assume to be a diaper. Our room was dirty- a large clump of hair on the floor when we arrived, as well as a dried up orange slice on the patio. There were food wrappers that were left in the hallway as well as a hat that sat there my entire stay (2 nights). Fairly priced for the area, but could use some help.

The prices was great for what we got. It was 30 of us, and everyone could not afford a 5 luxury star hotel. This was a average affordable hotel for everyone. If you looking for someone to your clean your room, change the sheets and towels everyday or room services than this is not the place for you. We didn't need all of that, we did not mind using our same sheets,or picking up behind ourselves. Long as it was clean we was fine. We didn't need room services, so we was good On that also. We really enjoyed ourselves, the pool area was nice and the kids loved the big slides. But with that many people there was a few hiccups with check-in but overall we had a good time. I am glad I did not go off the previous reviews, Some of the people in my group wanted me to and asked me to change to a more star hotel, I am glad i didn't. Once we got there and checked in, Everyone was fine with the hotel.

We had a ball! I was worried that after reading some of the reviews that the room would not be clean. I called several times to express my concern. To ease my mind, I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom condo which was very nice. The only problem with the condo was that it was by the entrance door so when rowdy guest came in we could hear them. This was not in the control of the hotel though. We were close to the pool and a short walk to the water park. The drinks, food and customer service in the bar were AMAZING! The front desk staff was great as well. It was like a hidden a gym my boys 11 and 2 and endless fun. The only issue I would say that we had was the pool had way too much chlorine in it. Oh and may I add FREE laundry! We will be back again!

Needs updating on a massive scale. Even the updated rooms r outdated. Customer service is great.... from the front desk to the bartender to the housekeeping crew. Overall satisfied for what we paid during spring break. It's true....u get what u pay for. I would do 3.5 stars it was an option but rounded up to give them the better review. Would I stay again, yes.
