Beautiful! Do your research..so many waterfalls, trails, and backpacking opportunities. Lake of the Clouds is one of the main attractions.

Who gives the Porkies anything other than a 5? Hiking, cabins for rent all throughout the park and on the shores of Lake Superior--some with canoes to use on the lakes they are on, skiing, beautiful vistas, waterfalls, amazing Autumn scenery...Must see place! Check Alltrails for some nice hikes along with the park website for maps.

Really cool, low key hidden gem of an area in Northern Michigan. Some of the nearby towns are sketchy, but without being told, you would swear you were in the Appalachians and not the Midwest. Many great trails that are easy to locate. Michigan State  Park system can be a hassle though (fees, ect.)

Wonderful place to see. I enjoy camping and hiking there. The view is amazing.
