Protege Fitness Studios

This place is fantastic. I came the first time because a friend invited me (and I really like my friend otherwise there is no way I would have gone since I hate typical gyms). I came back a second time because Scott and Barb, the owners and trainers, connected with me right away and made me feel at ease even after not regularly exercising in years. I kept coming back because of my health. Never before have I seen a place that fits EVERYONE like Protege. Classes were fun and challenging with every range of ability. The trainers are the perfect balance of pushing me to do things I didn't think I could, and encouraging the process. I love feeling stronger. I love the nutrition information and recipes I have gotten to make healthy food choices. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

I thought I was in pretty good shape. And then I met Scott. My fitness journey has not been the same since. I’d worked with several other trainers, but none had ever really challenged me the way Scott and Barb do. No two workouts are ever the same even though you know there’s probably definitely going to be push-ups. They know each of their clients very well, which is great (but also makes it harder to cheat on your workout since they know how much you’re capable of lifting for any given exercise). I’ve also seen them work with people at all levels of fitness from those just starting out to gym junkies (like me) and tailoring each workout to the individual and their specific goals. And there is no shortage of encouragement and positivity; no workout is complete without at least one high five, low five, or side five for everyone.

Excellent. Even the classes are so personalized that you feel like it's a personal trainer. Very accepting, positive environment.

Scott and Barb have created a space to not be intimidated in, where they truly want their clients to feel better. It's amazing. I don't know that I have ever encountered such a place, where they are more concerned about you, doing it right, not hurting yourself, working thru issues, and helping all around. Best part, it all just happens by showing up!! Thank you so much for the coaching, training and advice. I look forward to being stronger, happier, and healthier.

I have always considered myself active and somewhat athletic! I've belonged to quite a few gyms over the years and none have topped protege. I feel confident referring friends and family to workout here in this environment that encourages every fitness level to reach their fitness goals and go beyond them. It's a positive atmosphere that holds you accountable, wether it's getting stronger, fine tuning your nutrition, coming back from an injury or losing weight. Scott and Barb have truly created a wonderful fitness community. And I'm proud to belong.
