We happened to go here on customer appreciation day, so they had lots of events. But the guy who helped me actually showed me what I was looking for and didn't try to upsell me. Of course, that means I bought more stuff. My husband got a duffel bag from these guys years ago and it still holds up. He raves about it all the time. He has also had a backpack from here that has lasted many scout trips and moving several states. Their water bags are awesome too.

Love this place. Great stuff... I'm not one to window shop or walk around a store thinking about what I'm next going to buy... Except this place. This place I would, and I do. Customer service is pretty good. It's got a small shop feel, if you need help just ask and they'll do their best. Most the workers know their inventory well enough. Prices are good enough that it's worth it to get it here instead of Amazon. There's something to be said for physically seeing a product before buying and this place is great for that.

Rec Outlet is a great place to find outdoor necessities from tents and packs to backpacking food. They are great for random things like tent stakes, camp lighting and cookware. And if you need discounted clothing, they have that too! I always check here first before buying somewhere else because they have really good prices on most equipment.

Not easily located but on a main Street in American Fork. Very good selections of hiking and recreational gear. Fair prices. Similar to most surplus outlets.

Rec Outlet offers a wide variety of awesome outdoor gear at fantastic prices. Their staff is very helpful and knowlegable. All of them are outdoor enthusiasts and can give great advice about the gear usability. I love going here just for it's fantastic atmosphere. It truly is a watering hole for interesting, down-to-earth people! Check it out whether you are an outdoor novice, expert, or anything in between.
