This is a beautiful State Park with great hiking trails and trout fishing located in southwestern part of Missouri. The campground is an enjoyable and beautiful place situated along the bank of the Roaring River. There is a fish hatchery so the small river is kept well stocked. Trout fishing is awesome and the perfect place to start for the novice or perfect place to come back to again for the experienced fisherman. The laid back peaceful environment that this place has to offer brings me back time and again!

This is nice fishing location. There's a lot to learn here about hatcheries, spring development and conservation. We saw signs for what to do if you see a bear on a trail but we didn't see one. We somewhat thought we would be able to white water raft like you see in movies but that doesn't happen here. Would recommend this spot to anyone who likes/loves to fish.

My family and I love Roaring River State Park. It is beautiful and surrounded by mountains. It is clean and not commercialized. Even if you don't fish there is much to do and see. We have been coming here for 30 years. There have been changes over the years but it is still a gorgeous place. It can get pretty crowded during the summer months particularly on the weekends. We still miss the old restaurant which was destroyed by a tornado years ago. It was a wonderful and charming down to earth great food restaurant.

I took a kayak trip down this River had a beautiful float. I do say check your water before you float this... may find yourself walking and pulling boat more than floating. Only came thru one fence where we had to stop and lift kayak over.

This is a beautiful State Park in Southwest Missouri! I highly recommend visiting. We stayed there one day to do some trout fishing, and would have stayed longer except the lodge didn't have any hot water due to a boiler break down. Our room was very comfortable, and the food in the dining room was excellent and very well priced!! We also caught quite a few fish even though it rained most of the time we were there.
