I am so glad I found Atlantic Health! Dr Sophias is hands down the best primary doctor I have ever had! She is fantastic. Takes her time to listen to her patients, does her research, is extremely thorough and is just amazing. You can tell she cares for her patients and will take every step to get to the bottom of what's going on! I have been blown off by so many doctors and she completely gave me hope that their are good doctors who care! I love the walk in clinic when myself, husband or son are sick. They get you in and out and have all necessary testings as an urgent care. They even have imaging, rapid labs and more! Love this place! Always clean and for the most part the staff are friendly although just like anywhere there are a few bad apples that you'll see at the front desk. But the nurses and doctors are great!

They hold your refills of medication as a bargaining tool for unnecessary follow up visits. And after the follow up, you'll be lucky to get 1 refill. And this is on blood pressure medication. Eventually this will make someone very sick, or worse. Patronize this "business" at your own peril.

Dr Hoey is wonderful. She's been my primary for years and has never disappointed me. The front desk staff are friendly.

Absolutely the worst place ever . They treat their patients like meat. Doesn’t matter if you are a patient or a walk in you’re always treated the same. Secretaries are rude, ask you for information in the nastiest possible way. Was greeted today by the secretary saying rudely “give me a minute!” I said no problem do you want me to sign in. She responded angrily “No just give me a minute!” Are you kidding me I’m not your kid. I hate this place. They are a factory and nothing more. It’s too bad I can’t find a good doctor in the area. Will be really searching for anything else.

Best advice I was given by a staff member at this facility was for me to visit another practice. There is no way I would ever return to see this group of so-called medical professionals. The reception staff is the absolute worst that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Specifically, a woman named Helen- she is rude and has no sense of compassion towards anyone. The way I was spoken to was absolutely unacceptable, and I do not understand how she still has a job since I have yet to see or hear her be pleasant towards any patient. Another receptionist there, Amy Miller, on 2 occasions, spent her time asking me the details of why I needed an appointment for a referral to a specialist. She insisted she needed to know, and that is not what should have happened. The specific details of why a patient needs to see a specialist is none of the receptionists business.... a patient's personal medical history is between the doctor and nursing staff, and the receptionist only needs to know that there is an issue and not exactly what it is. This happened once over the phone and then once in person when I went in to try and make an appointment... this woman proceeded to interrogate me in front of everyone in the waiting room and in the reception area, which was at least half a dozen people. I was so distressed and embarrassed that I cried in the office. No one apologized. Absolutely unacceptable! I tried to make an appointment today over the phone and was given a huge attitude by Helen, my best guess is because I kept asking questions and that seemed to be a big inconvenience to her. I asked to see a different doctor than I had previously seen because the medication I had been given was not effective, I was then informed, with an attitude that all the other doctors were on vacation or unavailable. Then I was told to sit in the walk in side for a visit, and when I said I couldnt sit there for hours and I needed to be seen, I was told to go to the emergency room. When I asked why she thought that was a better idea, she told me I should go to another practice and hung up on me. The reception staff needs to be retrained, as they have no business treating people, especially sick and injured people, in such a terrible and unkind manner. This practice is much closer to my home and much more convenient for me to get to, but I will now drive to the location on south street in morristown again because they have a better, much more kind and much more accomodating staff. While there are a couple good doctors at the rockaway location, I will never return because of their horrible reception staff. Dr Hoey is not a proficient doctor... I was put on a medication that is not ideal for what it was supposed to treat, and when I asked for a referral for a specialist because this issue was recurring but only in the past year, I was told to take another round and see what happens. Her work was not thorough, and I was left basically untreated because I was given a medication that was not appropriate. If you decide to go here, do not see this doctor unless you want to take the chance that you will have to go back and try all over again. Stay away! I also wanted to give them a no star review, however this will only allow me to go as low as 1 star. The doctor staff seems to turn around very quickly, even for a clinic.
