Suburban Sports

This is my go-to spot for all my road bike needs. All of the employees are polite and chat happily (I haven't experienced that everywhere). They're experts in their field. I've had tune-ups, handlebar tape put on, Shimano M520 pedals installed, and cleats put on two pairs of shoes, and a pair of winter cycling boots. It's worth the assurance knowing they're doing the work than me possibly making a mess. And their prices are very reasonable and the work is done quickly. Most important, I always feel welcome even when I don't fit the usual look of the road cyclist (I'm no Peter Sagun). One worker, after I told him I struggle to be able to bike more than 30 miles at one time, said something close to this: "We're all part of the same cycling community whether you bike 15 miles or 100. And if you ride so many miles to the point where the bike ride isn't really enjoyable anymore, then what's the point? You have to do what works for you" That's it!!! I'm a Suburban customer for life! Unless I move to a warmer southern state. ♡♡♡ 🚴 ♡♡♡

Saturday, 2018-01-13: We are pleased with the outcome and resolution that Suburban Sports provided in the process we sought for remedying toe(s) pain and fitment through reshaping of our liner and shell toe-boxes. John went out of his way to ensure we were fitted properly in the ski boots. More importantly, John went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the finished product. It is impressive in this day and age to see a shop and a person committed both to one’s craft and to the satisfaction of its customers. We highly recommend John at Suburban Sports for boot fitting. We buy all of our skiing, snowboarding, and cycling gear at Suburban. Very knowledgeable staff, awesome service department for ski and bike tune ups. Knowledgeable in ski racing gear too.

Best ski and bike shop in Connecticut, and arguably, New England. Suburban's inventory of the newest top-notch ski gear is astounding. Staff is highly qualified; can handle everything from recreational boot to race boot fitting, as well as race tunes/world cup quality base grinds. Come spring time, these guys will get your bike running smoother than the day you bought it, whether it be your beach cruiser or or your downhill mountain bike. Incredible bike selection as well. Do not waste your time at any other shop.
