The Dearborn Inn, A Marriott Hotel

Went for a training seminar for work. The Dearborn in is a place I would like to visit on my own time. The historical hotel has been kept up beautifully. The lunches served both days were wonderful & they catered to my food allergies superbly. The staff is very friendly & helpful. I really can't say enough about The Dearborn Inn. Definitely worth coming back with family, or a stay for just my husband & me.

I expected more. Our room was to warm, contacted​ the front desk they said to open the window, there was no screen on the window, and the window wouldn't stay up without wedging it open with a box from my nephew's toy. Oh, and we were on the ground floor. Stayed 2 nights for a wedding. The last night people were being very loud about 5:30am. Then I could hear toliets flushing and showers running. Then a house keeper came in and turned the light on, she said hello, I responded and she left without saying a word. And, she left the light on. I had to go home to get sleep. On the plus side the wedding was beautiful and the food at the cocktail hour and sit down dinner was really good. A fridge in the room would have been nice.

I booked a room for a conference and discussed details with reservations. Upon arrival, I was informed my reservation was for the next week. Management claimed an email confirming dates was sent. I never received an email. Management did nothing to correct or assist. I've had better service at 2 star motels.

If you're a U.S. history buff, this is the place to stay if in Dearborn. Must have been a fabulous grand hotel in the heyday of the Ford company and Detroit. Marriott should be commended for attempting to maintain this facility, but one must keep in mind the compromises of staying at an antique boutique hotel.

I've never stayed overnight here but I have attended several meetings and conferences. The hotel is always clean and is decorated nicely. It is located conveniently and not far from the highway so it is easy to find. .
