The Family Soulfood Restaurant

Don't remember the owners name but when they first opened we were very impressed. The owner was interactive with the customers and food quality was his goal and it showed. Recent visits (mostly take out) have been very disappointing. The chicken fried chicken portions are not the quality as when first opened and the portions have are considerably smaller. Also you need to check the to go meals before leaving because we have received orders that were not what we clearly ordered. I hate that a great restaurant opens in Amarillo that has much potential and then goes downhill evidently to make a few bucks.

Some of the best food I have had since my Mothers. The most friendly people just made one feel right at home. Every one should go there it is a wonderful place to relax and eat very well rj

I enjoy the food here. But I probably appreciate the nice folks that run the restaurant even more. It's nice to be treated like family for a homestyle meal away from home. The menu is pretty limited, but they seem to take care with the items they do offer. Prices are reasonable. They seem to close earlier than the posted hours (sometimes), so the earlier you go, the better. Recommend.

I love this place! I have been here 3 or 4 times now and have gotten excellent food every time. The owners are very friendly and really care about their customers having a good experience and a great meal. They have daily specials so you might want to call and find out what the special is if you're thinking about going there. The first time I went I had their fried ribs and they were heavily. Plus, you get three sides with your meal not the one or two that most places offer. Everything I've had has been wonderful. Their desserts are great too, and huge for a cheap price. Now I'm making myself hungry.

Amazing food! So good I ate there twice in 2 days. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming!
