Me and my husband visited for the first time on Thursday. It will definitely not be our last!! The food is homemade and the portions are outstanding. One plate has lasted me for a few meals. And oh the German chocolate cake is amazing!!! Definitely worth every penny!

I LOVE this resturant! As soon as you pull into the parking lot, the aroma of sweet smoked BBQ entices you to the entrance. The staff - true, real, southern friendly. The good kind of people makes you feel welcome, and happy you stopped by. Like you're visiting your aunt or grandma. The selection of food incredible. The generous over sized portions, enough for 2 days. I recommend the ribs (meat falling off the bone)with home made BBQ sauce on the side, greens, cabbage, mac & cheese. The yams- sweet and heavy, like they should be, they very well could be a dessert entree.
OK, Can we talk about the bread pudding!!! Oh my... I can't say enough. I will say it's so decadent, and yummy it will accompany your dreams. I give this place 5+ stars. Please, get in your car, borrow a car, hitch a ride - just get yourself to Sweet Georgia Browns. I promise - you WILL understand after that first bite.

The food was great. My cabbage was a little mushy, but I think I got the last of it and they had to cook more. The chicken and dressing was as good as my mother's, the candied yams made me miss my mother a lot. I was visiting family for a milestone birthday it was like being home. Wonderful food. I will definitely be back. The ribs were off the chain.

Friendly staff.
I wanted the fried chicken, however, it's not served on Mondays 🙁. I had the lunch special which consisted of 1 meat and 3 vegetables. I had the meatloaf (tangy red sauce), sweet potatoes (good, like typical sweet potatoes), cabbage (salty), and cornbread dressing (also overly salted).
My daughter had a chopped beef sandwich, which they chop the meat for each order. She enjoyed her food.
Although the portions were large, I feel the cost was a bit much for meatloaf. I may re-visit in the future, but I am really in no hurry.

True deep South cooking and straightforward, friendly service (Don't read the menu, look at what's in the buffet!) Food is hot and fresh cooked -not sitting under a warmer. My only complaint is that I couldn't finish my sweet potatoes, Mac/cheese and rice in one sitting. A great "homey" place for when you're far from home.
