Hoberts Soul Food Canteen

I will say I enjoyed my time at the restaurant. The owner was amazing to talk too. She is a master of it all. I love the portion size she gave. The chicken tasted great with the brown sauce on top. It was cooked perfectly and the meat slide off the bone. The only issue was for me was with out the sauce, the chicken was a little to salty but the seasoning was great. I can speak enough the sweet potato. It was really good. I would have enjoyed the green beans more but she put brown sugar I presume in the green beans. I'm not a fan of my green beans tasting sweet but that's me. Other people might feel different. It's not a perfect place to visit but is a very warm and comforting environment that is welcoming for the family and your soul. I will visit again to taste the beef brisket.

The food very poorly seasoned. Also the meat was tough and dried out. A very unsatisfactory meal for the price.

Was in hospital for 3 days so I needed some special soul food ,my wife went here and got me the best baked chicken in forth worth. they really do a very super job here nice place to dine in to ,very affordable and tasty delights love y'all Hoberts soul food ,something like M&M's in California so super thumbs up guys y'all rock .....
