Avoid this place. They have the most unprofessional and unwilling to help staff you can possibly deal with. I have dealt with many of them (including the manager) for over a year and have had enough of their rude and brut attitude across the board. THEY ARE IN DESPERATE NEED of CUSTOMER SERVICE Training.

Decent Movers
I will say that James did a pretty good job with the estimate (which was very reasonably priced), and was upfront with all of the fees that would be charged. He did understand the needs for my move to my new location (Philly.) They knew that they would have to double park, he asked me about how tight the street parking was, etc. Also, I did like that there was a 10% discount if you paid cash. In general, the movers were very helpful. I wasn't 100% done packing, and one of the 3 guys actually helped me finish packing while the other 2 moved stuff out of my apartment. They moved very quickly, which I also appreciated.
The big issue that I had was that the movers actually damaged my 40 in TV, despite be wrapped and packed by the movers. I only found out on the day after the move, when I was having my cable set up. I contacted James, and he had me fill out an investigation form, and he talked to his movers. Even though the insurance I signed up for only covered damage for pennies for each pound (and it was a super light TV) , James agreed to contribute half the cost towards a replacement. Although it was not the full value, and I had to shell out for a new one, I appreciate the fact that he was a man of his word, and wanted to rectify the situation. That is really hard to find at so many companies, and is something to be commended. So BEWARE! If you have valuable stuff--get the best insurance possible and do some of the wrapping yourself.

Fast. cheap and easy. Just the way I like it. Brian the attendant was very polite, calm and helpful. The rates were so reasonable that I chose the most expensive insurance coverage because I felt like they weren't making enough on the deal. I rented a trailer for 6 hours. Would definitely do it again. Thanks.

I rented a U-Haul to take my daughter back from college. We ordered a 9 foot cargo van one month before the move date. Our receipt clearly notes a 9 foot cargo van. Apparently that was not good enough because they changed us to a much larger truck. I indicated I was not comfortable driving the much larger truck. Their story then changed to this was a free complementary upgrade and that we should be happy we got upgraded.
I do not think I am the only person or customer of U-Haul who would not want a much larger vehicle that I was not comfortable driving. They were rude, and totally unhelpful. They then suggested we speak to corporate. Corporate was equally rude and unhelpful. We then had no way to take my daughter back home from college. They are awful, their customer service was awful, there was not one helpful or polite or even remotely sympathetic individual that we encountered at uhaul. Thank goodness one has an ability to write a negative review when service has been below par.
